Cid Newsome

My father was an artist and an architect, I followed in his shoes. I took drafting and architecture in college and minored in art. I also painted large murals for many years. I loved watercolors first but have painted in most mediums. I am inspired by nature, during my 16 years living in Hawaii I enjoyed painting the landscapes and tropical flowers. While in Hawaii my husband and I took in foster children, as one of only 7 families trained in the Malama Program for medically fragile infants and adopted our two daughters.
My joy now is teaching drawing and painting classes as I continue to explore my art.
