Mid-Century Reeves Home

Resident studio for the Agnes Pelton Artist Home Tour

The Mid-Century House of Robert Reeves

The home of sculptor Robert Reeves is a classic post-and-beam Mid-Century Modern house built in 1961. It is an L-shaped structure, which wraps around two sides of the large swimming pool. The under-eave Windows on the front side and mostly glass walls on the back side provide both privacy and views of the surrounding mountains from almost every room in the house. One of its many features is a corner entry with two front doors and walls of glass, which the artist utilizes as a display space to the neighborhood for the work he produces. Reeves has created a woodwork studio adjacent to the house where he creates his laminated wood sculptures and fine art furniture pieces. During the Agnes Pelton tour of historic homes on Feb 28th from Nam to rpm, another resident artist will be present to display her work, painter Sofia Enriques.
